Landscape Design

I was taught long ago that the landscape design of a home should be an extension of its architecture. This is a lesson I constantly consider when creating spaces and choosing materials.

As basic as this sounds, I feel my designs just make sense in concepts of flow and use—sometimes simple is best. That said, I do also enjoy pushing the envelope and thinking outside the box when the site and plan allows.

One of our unique and fun design approaches is what I call a Themed Landscape. That’s where Team KW recreates a specific place or the vibe of a country or city in a client’s backyard. Whether it’s a simple beach design, an elaborate Japanese Garden, or landscapes that feel like Arizona, Italy, or Spain, I often personally explore the real-life places for true life encounters to help make the client’s space feel authentic. Where do you want to go in your backyard?
